Rector Akman Meets Book Lovers at the Kilis Book Fair
Rector Prof. Dr. Zekeriya Akman visited the 1st Kilis Book Fair, held at Sevgi Yolu, and met with book lovers.
During his visit, Rector Akman browsed the books on display and spoke with readers and authors. He drew attention to the role of books in enriching individuals’ intellectual worlds and emphasised the importance of promoting a culture of reading across all segments of society. He particularly underlined the value of helping children and young people build a strong relationship with books in terms of developing critical thinking and research habits.
Stating that the Book Fair, of which our University is also a stakeholder, represents a meaningful gathering for the cultural life of the city, Rector Akman thanked all institutions involved in its organisation, particularly the Kilis Governorship, as well as the publishing houses and all participants.
