Training Programme Titled “Experience, Strategy and Roadmap in TÜBİTAK Projects” Held at Our University

The Project Support Office Coordination Unit of our University organised a training programme titled “Experience, Strategy and Roadmap in TÜBİTAK Projects” for academic staff of the Faculty of Theology.

Held at the Faculty of Theology Meeting Hall, the programme provided information on application processes for TÜBİTAK project support programmes, developing project ideas, identifying the most appropriate funding scheme, key points to consider in project writing, and evaluation criteria. The training covered the 1002-A Rapid Support Programme, 3501 Career Development Programme, 3005 Innovative Solutions Research Projects Support Programme in Social Sciences and Humanities, 1001 Scientific and Technological Research Projects Funding Programme, and 2209-A University Students Research Projects Support Programme.

Speaking at the opening of the programme, Project Support Office Coordinator Prof. Dr. Meryem Kuzucu emphasised the importance of strengthening the project culture within the University, supporting academic productivity, and enabling researchers to benefit more effectively from national funding programmes.

Assist. Prof. Dr. Hilal Sevlü, who participated in the programme as a speaker, shared her experience regarding TÜBİTAK project applications with the participants and discussed the process from developing a project idea to preparing the application file through practical examples. Her presentation focused on defining the research question, demonstrating originality and broader impact, designing the methodology, planning the budget, and managing the application process effectively.

The programme also included discussions on potential project topics in the field of Theology, interdisciplinary research opportunities in the social sciences and humanities, and ways of transforming academic studies into TÜBİTAK projects. The interactive training programme, enriched by participants’ questions and contributions, concluded with mutual evaluations.
