Children in the Glass Dome” Seminar Held
An online seminar titled “Children in the Glass Dome” was organized at our University within the scope of the April 23 National Sovereignty and Children’s Day, with the contributions of the Minus 7 Student Community.
Prof. Dr. Özkan Sapsağlam, a faculty member of the Faculty of Education at Yıldız Technical University, participated in the program as the speaker. The seminar, moderated by Dr. Lecturer Hızır Dinler, featured evaluations based on Sapsağlam’s work titled “Children in the Glass Dome.”
During the seminar, contemporary perceptions of childhood, the concept of the “sacred child,” parental responsibility, and the effects of the modern world on children were discussed. In addition, the roles undertaken by educators in this process were emphasized.
